This website, mikespaintinglakeland.com, is operated by Mike's Painting and Home Improvements, Inc., a Florida corporation located at 574 Peninsular Dr, Lakeland, FL 33813. You can reach us at (863) 701-8180.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website only. It does not cover information you give us in person, over the phone, or through our listings on Google, Facebook or the Better Business Bureau, each of which has its own privacy practices.
Information you give us
When you submit the estimate request form, you choose what to send us. The form asks for your name, phone number, email address, and the address or city where the work would be done. It also asks what kind of work you need, your property type, your timeframe, how you would prefer to be contacted, and any details you want to describe.
Only the name, phone number and email address are required. Everything else is optional, and you can leave any of it blank.
You may also attach photographs of the job. We use these to understand the work and prepare an accurate estimate. We do not publish customer photographs on this website, in advertising, or anywhere else without asking you first and getting your agreement.
Information collected automatically
Our web host keeps standard server logs. Each time a page is requested, the server records the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page requested, and the browser's self-reported type and version. This happens on essentially every website and is used for security and for diagnosing technical problems.
We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything you send through the form.
Third parties
We keep outside services to a minimum. The ones involved in running this website are:
Our web host. The company that runs the server delivering these pages. It holds the server logs described above.
Web3Forms. The estimate request form is processed by Web3Forms, a form-handling service, which delivers your submission and any attached photographs to us by email and keeps a copy of the submission in its dashboard for a limited period. Its own privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy.
Google Fonts. The typeface used on this site is delivered by Google's font service. Loading it sends your IP address and basic browser information to Google. Google states that it does not use this to build advertising profiles, but the request does occur. If you would rather it did not, most browsers and privacy extensions can block it, and the site remains fully readable without it.
Our email provider. Estimate requests are delivered to us by email, so your message and any attached photographs pass through the mail system in the ordinary way.
This site links out to our profiles on Google, Facebook and the Better Business Bureau. Those are ordinary links. Nothing from those companies loads on this site, and they learn nothing about your visit here unless you click through, at which point their own policies apply.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing purposes. We never have.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, prepare an estimate, schedule and carry out work you hire us for, and keep records of jobs we have done.
We may contact you about your enquiry by the method you indicated on the form. If you ask us not to contact you again, we will stop.
Phone calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number and indicate that you would prefer a call or a text message, you are agreeing that we may contact you at that number about your enquiry and any work arising from it. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
This consent covers messages about your own job. It is not consent to marketing or promotional messages. You can withdraw it at any time by telling us, by replying STOP to a text, or by calling (863) 701-8180.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests and job records for as long as we have a working relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we may need them for warranty, tax, accounting or legal purposes.
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for a reasonable period in case you get back in touch, then deleted. Server logs are held for a short period and then overwritten in the ordinary course.
If you want your information deleted sooner, call or email us and we will do it, except where we are required to keep a record.
How we protect it
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted between your browser and our server. Access to the form submissions we receive is limited to the people at our company who need it.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through this form. We will never ask for them there.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Call (863) 701-8180 or use the contact form and we will respond.
You are never required to use the form. You can call us instead and give us only what you want to give.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights over your personal information. We will honor a request from any customer regardless of whether a particular statute applies to a business of our size.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging work on property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes — adding analytics, advertising tags or any form of tracking — will be reflected here before they take effect.
